Good Grief runs Tuesday through Sunday, February 26 to March 26.
I'm very excited to join the LA Theatre Works production of Peter Shaffer's Amadeus September 22-25! The amazing Michael Emerson (Lost, Person of Interest) will perform the role of Salieri. The production will also be broadcast on NPR stations around the country later this fall.
The new comedy series I'm in with Mircea Monroe, Missi Pyle and Alex Desert is out! Sing It!, YouTube Red's first half-hour scripted comedy series is a loving send up of reality singing competition shows, a la American Idol. The show features musical performances from Sam Tsui, Todrick Hall, Diamond White and American Idol contestants Ace Young and Diana Degarmo, and the first episode is available for free. The additional nine episodes are available to YouTube Red subscribers. Watch me be a doofus in all ten episodes.
Want to check out a crazy drone shot while 35,000 feet in the air? Great! Our little thriller short film that could, August Heat, is running as one of the in-flight movie options on Alaska Airlines! Directed by Matthew James Thompson and featuring an original score by Ryan Whittier, August Heat was selected as part of the Seattle International Film Festival series for the airline. No word yet on how long the series will be running, so look for it the next time you fly west!
My site-specific theatre company, InHouse Theatre, is about to open our next play here in LA, the fascinating and funny Private Eyes by Steven Dietz. We have a terrific cast and creative team, and I'm excited to bring this wonderfully intricate, multi-layered, multimedia production to the stage. We run on weekends through May 22 at a secret location in Miracle Mile; check out our website above for more information!
Our production of Casa Valentina at the Pasadena Playhouse is open and runs through April 10. I'm so excited to be a part of this fantastic cast and company. Check out our recent LA Times review here!
I'm very excited to start work on the West Coast premiere of Harvey Fierstein's play Casa Valentina at the Pasadena Playhouse. Set in 1962 at a Catskills summer retreat for men who dress and act as women, the play explores the fluid nature of identity, sexuality, and morality. Critics called the 2014 Broadway run as "far and away the best new play of the season." David Lee's production runs March 15 through April 10. More information and tickets can be found here.
My new play, Immediate Family, opened Sunday at the Mark Taper Forum in downtown LA! Directed by Tony Award-winner Phylicia Rashad, and written by Paul Oakley Stovall, the play is described as Modern Family meets Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. We run through June 7, and discount tickets are available through the box office with the "BRYANT" code.

One of America's most haunted cities, Savannah, will screen our short film August Heat at the Savannah Film Festival just in time for Halloween! August Heat is based on WF Harvey's classic supernatural suspense story, in which a young artist searches for the sinister source of inspiration for his latest illustration. August Heat features Jarlath Conroy and me, as well as an original score by Ryan Whittier. More details about screening dates and times to come!
My commercial for DirecTV is airing! We shot this spot over two days on the Paramount Studios lot in LA, trying to make it look as chaotic and authentically NY as possible. Flying rubble and real time dialogue were added and towering palm trees were deleted in post. The stunt, crouching on a rubber mat moving at 30mph and jumping off at the last second, was a blast. My apologies to my Redskins-loving family for the Manning jersey.
Principal photography is underway on William Stribling and Russ Nickel's comedy feature film, Bear With Us. While shooting in the Poconos, we've already encountered twelve wild bears on set, though unfortunately none of them are SAG. Bear With Us stars Christy Romano and me, as well as Cheyenne Jackson, Alex McKenna, and Collin Smith.
I'll be working with The Fleet to present a public reading of Bekah Brunstetter's new play, The Oregon Trail. In this very funny and poignant play, a young woman seeks solace from her depression in a video game that mysteriously tells the story of her pioneer forebears. The reading will be at the Bootleg Theatre in LA (2220 Beverly Blvd.) on Saturday, July 26th at 1pm. Please RSVP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to join us!
